The role of Software Engineer – Analytical Engineering sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. As an analytical engineer, you will transform raw, heterogeneous data into clean, business-ready datasets that power dashboards, reports, and AI/ML models. You will work closely with data scientists, product owners, and business analysts to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, centralized data layers, and reusable data products. The position offers early-career engineers a fast track to mastering end-to-end data workflows while gaining exposure to modern cloud and BI technologies. ### Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines using Spark, Python, and SQL to ingest and transform large-scale datasets. - Build and document centralized data models (star/snowflake schemas) that serve multiple analytics use-cases. - Collaborate with AI/ML teams to provide high-quality, well-documented data foundations for predictive models. - Implement data quality checks, testing frameworks, and monitoring using Airflow DAGs. - Optimize query performance and storage costs on AWS data services (Redshift, Athena, S3). - Create and maintain visualizations and dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for business stakeholders. - Version-control all code and configuration using Git/SVN and follow Agile sprint cycles. - Produce technical documentation in Confluence and support knowledge-transfer sessions. - Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business questions into data solutions, and present findings clearly. ### Requirements **Tech Stack**: SQL, Apache Spark (PySpark), Python, dbt (preferred), AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena), Apache Airflow, Tableau/Power BI/Looker, Git/SVN, Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence), Oracle, PostgreSQL, CDP Impala. ### Benefits - **Growth Path**: Starting as an Analytical Engineer, you can progress to Senior Analytical Engineer, Data Platform Lead, or move into specialized AI/ML engineering or product analytics roles.
