Responsibilities (Outcome-Based) You are accountable for: * Understanding business problems before writing code and proposing the best AI solution—not simply executing requests * Building production-grade AI tools, agents, automations, and integrations that operate reliably in real-world conditions * Integrating AI systems with our existing workflows, databases, APIs, and operational infrastructure * Rolling out new AI systems, training internal teams, and driving company-wide adoption * Monitoring, maintaining, debugging, and continuously improving production AI systems * Protecting the company's AI infrastructure through secure architecture, credential management, and best security practices * Identifying new opportunities where AI can eliminate manual work and create measurable business leverage What Success Looks Like You're winning in this role when: * AI systems become part of daily operations instead of one-off experiments * Teams actively adopt and rely on the tools you build * Manual work is consistently replaced by reliable automations * Production systems remain stable with minimal downtime or intervention * AI-generated outputs consistently meet the quality expected by the teams using them * New AI opportunities are proactively identified and... You must have: * 5+ years of software engineering or automation development experience * Strong experience building production AI applications using modern LLMs * Experience with AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, APIs, and workflow automation * Strong programming ability (Python preferred) * Experience integrating AI systems with existing software and business workflows * Understanding of software architecture, testing, deployment, monitoring, and version control * Experience balancing rapid prototyping with production-grade reliability * Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge poor requirements when necessary * A security-first mindset when building production systems * Experience training end users and driving adoption of technical solutions Tools / Environment You'll work across technologies such as: * OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and other LLM providers * Python * LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar AI frameworks * APIs and third-party integrations * Vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) * Git & GitHub * Docker * n8n, Make.com, Zapier, or other automation platforms * Google Workspace * ClickUp * Slack We're tool-agnostic.
