Ares Management is a global alternative investment manager with a growing presence in India, and the Mumbai office supports the US Direct Lending Group. As an Analyst in Portfolio Management, you will serve as the analytical backbone of the team, supporting daily monitoring, valuation, reporting, and restructuring or fundraising initiatives across cross-border corporate debt and equity investments.
What you’ll do
Monitor corporate debt and equity investments on a daily basis. Prepare quarterly valuation packs and performance reports for internal stakeholders and investors. Build Excel-based cash-flow and capital-structure models to support restructuring scenarios. Communicate with portfolio company management to gather operational and financial updates. Execute mark-to-market valuations at quarter-end and maintain accurate reporting and documentation. Assist the fundraising team with investor presentations, track-record updates, and query responses.
Who you are
Fresh MBA graduate or up to three years of experience in investment banking, credit analysis, or fund advisory. Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel knowledge, including pivot tables, macros, and VBA. Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills. Familiarity with Bloomberg, relational databases, or asset management platforms is a plus.
