As an Embedded Firmware Engineer at LumiLens, you will help design, implement, and validate firmware for microcontroller-based vision modules. Your work will directly impact product reliability, power efficiency, and overall performance, and will contribute to the company’s product roadmap. The role is especially suited for recent graduates interested in low-level programming, hardware-software integration, and real-time embedded challenges.
What you’ll do
Design and develop firmware for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller families used in LumiLens products Write clean, modular, well-documented C/C++ code following industry standards and internal guidelines Implement and debug communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN Develop drivers for sensors, ADCs, timers, and power management units Integrate firmware with AI inference engines and image processing pipelines Perform unit testing, integration testing, and hardware validation on development boards and production prototypes Collaborate with hardware designers to resolve interface issues and optimize PCB layouts for firmware constraints Participate in code reviews, maintain version control using Git, and document firmware architecture, APIs, and troubleshooting guides
Who you are
Proficiency in C, C++, Embedded C, and ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers Familiarity with FreeRTOS, CMSIS, HAL libraries, and JTAG/SWD debugging Basic knowledge of PCB design considerations and debugging techniques Experience with Git for version control Python proficiency for test automation is a plus
